One of the most important efforts undertaken by La Comunidad Vinces, consists in maintaining that which has made Ecuadorian chocolate such an exquisite delicacy, Cacao "Arriba" itself.
Nowadays, our Reproduction Training is a priority when it comes to Cacao whilst quality. For us, the special characteristics that Cacao "Arriba" and it´s varieties bring are truly what matters.
In order to preserve the unique taste and aroma of our Cacao, we searched through our GPS Collection System and our Sensory Evaluation Team for the best trees all over Ecuador.
Once we had found the best trees throughout the country, we utilize a mixture of the ancient inbreeding traditions from local farmers and the advanced processes from our experienced biologist team. Together, we have been able to found and reproduce trees that give outstanding results in both Arriba aroma and flavor quality.
The care that the seeds and plants enjoy in our green houses is closely controlled in order to assure that all special characteristics are maintained. La Comunidad Vinces works with 2,000 families that are eligible for any of these plants.
